The Highwaymen

Florida's ArtistsOne of the Sunshine State's fabulous characteristis and they are characters!

In the 1950s and 1960s a group of African American artists living on Florida's east coast painted quickly realized landscapes on inexpensive building materials, and sold them out of their cars to tourists traveling along the state's eastern highways. This group is called "The Highwaymen" for their novel distribution pattern.
