Mensa Election 2011
Presently I am Chair for American Mensa, a position I've held since June of 2009. I am re-standing for the Chair position in this year's election. The past 18 months or so we, the Board of Directors of American Mensa, have made much progress toward a solid strategic plan that guides our decision making and we've met the challenges of a weak economy. We're still here after half a century - American Mensa celebrated its 50th birthday in 2010.

ToastmastersCompetent Communicator
For about two years I attended Toastmasters meetings to become a more confident, informative, and entertaining speaker. I have attained the Competent Communicator level, the "baby steps" rung of the ladder! Now with my expanded duties as Chair of American Mensa, I'm bowing out of Toastmasters for the time being. I heartily recommend this organization to anyone who wishes to become a more confident speaker.
